A waltz
One, two, step, together
Hand in unlovable hand
On our way down the hallways
Dark-ringed circles spotlight the floor
As we move in and out of the light
And we move past a partly open door
That says
“Do not enter”
Written on a small note
I wonder why I can’t go in.

I am going in there damnit. ;) I once saw a sign that said 'do not press button' with no protection on the button at all - it may as well have said press this button because I wanted to see what it would do. (along with everyone else reading the sign). I suppose some doors need to stay closed for us to heal though but how often we find ourselves entering them again anyway.

It's this....faux resistance we put up to warn others of our own shortcomings, but really we want someone to enter into our hearts and remove the sticky note and open the door completely. It's never good to shut people out, though often we do...Learning how to make peace is the most important thing.
