Rebirth Revisited

Reposting this painting
Reason being
It was a commission for a friend
When I did it a few years ago
I hadn't painted in years
It took awhile get my hand back
Painting is a mind set
Commissions are harder
Pleasing people and all
As opposed to pleasing yourself

Finally

The vision came
She's a dynamic woman
Color and vibe are everything
Had to be Bold
Spent the whole day on it
Laying in
Waking away
Going back
In a final rush
It was completed

Postscript

Framed it
Didn't get to give it to her for close to a year
Her Mom got sick and she went into a caregiving role
Finally she got a chance to come by
We ate sushi
Drank a lot of bourbon
Then she opened the package
Her eyes opened wide
All I needed to see ....
