The Times We Live In
When you do your job too well
You get gunned down
When you don't do your job
You get promoted
Paedophiles hide in plain sight
Some wearing robes quoting scriptures in sermons
Only to disrobe undressing the innocent lambs praying over their prey
With rants about receiving miracles
Overcome by the spirit sprinkling their holy waters
On the obedient flock to receive awaited blessings
Lying spread anticipating the second coming
Trusting blindly those who themselves wallow in nightfall
With no hope of ever seeing daylight
Their wounds forged too deep with lacerated scars
Committed to destruction of all that is good
Worshipping all manner and forms of evil
With a mission to be accomplished
By dismantling, destroying & degenerating all that is dear to its people & country
Until there is nothing but only dust
Even in hunger and death
As long as there is any sign of life in the breeze of the wind
They will want to grab that too by hook or by crook
