Tell the stupid people to take the vaccine

Pandemic then ends and then we can go onto other issues that divide us.  America always boasts about being the greatest country in the world.  True we are free, a lot to be said for that but are we great and are we smart ?

I can assure you I been telling the stupid lol. I lost a few friends but I think I might of convinced some. And I don't care if I sound like a "sheep" I rather keep me and the people around me safe.

I love my country but many think freedom means being careless I belive freedom means being free to do the right thing.

I wish people could get a glimpse through a state like Florida, where the state legislature and Governor all have their heads buried in the sand.... (or up their asses!) and actually feed into the propaganda of the extreme anti mask /vaccination mongers... It's fucked up when you're right back to all of the ER's being overrun and elective surgeries being canceled because all the hospitals in your city are packed with Covid  .....Then you have to read about people more worried about being able to get coffee or a beer at a bar than they are about saving other people's lives, by doing the most selfless thing you can — getting vaccinated and wearing your mask.... I hate it, too but I do it. I am asthmatic too, but I do it... I found a mask that doesn't make me feel like I'm suffocating and I bought several.... I fully care about the elderly, the immunocompromised and other high risk people.... That's the truth of it.... People simply don't want to do something potentially life saving to someone else because it's uncomfortable for them..... It's mind blowing, to me....  
 
Sorry for the vent.... I fully agree with you, DC...

Yeah, your state make the news a lot for sure. Though I live in a town where the people have the same mentality. It is very disheartening because some people who I used to think of as good now make me think of what kind of people they really are. I also have a few vet friends that buy into these conspiracies. It blows my mind that someone would be willing to fight over seas to save lives but not get a shot?  
The other day I was talking with someone who asked me how many shots was i willing to get?. My answer is as many as it takes. I told them it's about saving lives and anything that saves lives is worth it. They said something about me not understanding but I said I wouldn't want to understand anything that would put me and the people around me at risk.

Even though this poem is directed towards the virus itself the virus definitely shows a side of people I never thought was there. I always felt people would come together in hard times. But they won't even do the most simple of things, sad.  

Thank you and everyone else who is doing the right thing. I sure do appreciate it if no one else does.
