Right as Rain

We lay side by side
in the cool morning grass
staring up at clouds
as they silently drifted past

at first there were dogs and cats
and a dragon of old
then I felt her stiffen
as she offered something bold

looks like someone up there has an erection
I agreed but added it wasn’t an ordinary prick
she said I know, it’s uncircumcised
without hardly missing a click

the question was out before I could think
how’d she know of such things as that
and immediately I felt her let go
consumed by a giggle attack

finally settling down I heard her exclaim, look!
as a rain cloud resembling a fist
floated across the erection
she said simply, someone’s getting their wish

she offered up an explanation
as I lay their playing dumb
in a couple more minutes, she supposed
we’ll see where clouds come from
