Secretly they derive joy and satisfaction
that in misery they are not all alone;
they aren’t the only ones
carrying this sack
of emptiness and sorrow..

That may explain why some launch into gossip (wanting to see someone else taken down a peg or two) though sometimes it's about envy and resentment someone else is enjoying what they have not got or done.

Yeah, it is also about resentment and jealousy....
To be honest, I have been guilty too, of  gossiping n judging others... I tried to introspect why I did that and I discovered that deep down I was unhappy with my life... So, this poem is based on my own behaviour as well as my observation of other people....
Having said that, I would like to state that not all people who have problems or are suffering find solace in other's misery.... But, those who derive happiness in finding others erring or succumbing to some weak moments or going through some problems, they definitely are miserable at heart...

Well worth the wait 😁 so true. People do bring others down to fill some kind of emptiness.

Your voice is so beautiful
It's gentle, soothing and sexy
Wish there was someone in my life with such a relaxed sound to their vocals
There was something to how you said the words that had an Asian accent
It would be interesting to know which country has ladies who sound so smooth

Well said. You have the telepathic  ability to connect with people and know the truth. We judge others to satisfy our ego and endorse the same evil view. We also judge as we are conditioned in that way and it continues without breaking the pattern. You break the pattern and turn out to be a sweetest soul.
