I think that is true. I am coming to embrace opposition/resistance, in perhaps a different way than ever before. It truly is an opportunity for a variety of things including: learning, advancement, & power. (the power to survive/thrive)
I have to say, I do sort of prefer the melancholy, as this is perhaps an elevated state and provides the resources to create such beautiful things.
It may just be the essence of all great art...
