In Between Starbursts & Sunrise
I stumble in the presence of his grace
( It's never cold here )
He shaped me of black roses blooming
a blue opal energy
& bits of an organic smile, shy
laced with a "You know I hold my heart in your eyes" look
( You might be surprised if when you look inside to find yourself instead you see me )
We sat with our feet hanging of the edge of reason
( If he told me to jump, that he would catch me, I would have )
Innocence,
like wide eyed children in the midst of our summer
left drowning in the Arizona skyline
( It's never cold here )
He shaped me of black roses blooming
a blue opal energy
& bits of an organic smile, shy
laced with a "You know I hold my heart in your eyes" look
( You might be surprised if when you look inside to find yourself instead you see me )

( If he told me to jump, that he would catch me, I would have )
Innocence,
like wide eyed children in the midst of our summer
left drowning in the Arizona skyline
