Valentine’s Love
A day of love
That’s Saint Valentine’s Day
One who gave his life
For his belief
Greater love has no man
Than he who gives his life
For another
It’s a day of love
For me for us
For those who wish
To know and touch passion
In all its delicious offering
The ardent kiss
The burning embrace
For you my love
I wish to dance
To clasp your body to mine
To raise my face
To receive your kiss
To kneel and worship
In the temple of eros
On the altar of passion
I recline for you
In all my natural adoration
To receive your desire
And offer mine in return
To give and take
Until ache for passion dulls
Without cards or candies
I sit before my desk
And write this poetry
My desire is in my dreams
My wishes are but whispers
Dispersed in the wind
For I have no Valentine
This Valentine’s Day
Is a day of love
And desires written in poems
For some it’s a day of sighs
For loneliness is a faithful lover
Who takes you in his embrace
And love you hard and long.
