A man's hands are the first thing I look at. They tell so much about him.
You really made this visual work with the poem. Well done for that. The poem itself is very enlightening as to glimpses of your life, i.e. - your grandmother reading palms, and especially your perspective of spiral eyes and what you had endured for being different. It's something most can relate to, as each person seems to have something that others picked at.
I enjoyed both the visual and the words immensely.
