Green
When I was young I was green
The green eyes as young as one to face
To get up and gleam at the world
Free to be, green eyed and starlit
No darkness like the deep blue
This place to be strong in the sound
No heart ache to these places
Fresh start to fall again
Never saw the truth, never face to face
Your green eyes turned blue
Bright gold flowers grow
Green, green as my youth
I thought I would see this day done
Now the green faded but not blue
Timid, this weakness for you
The green eyes as young as one to face
To get up and gleam at the world
Free to be, green eyed and starlit
No darkness like the deep blue
This place to be strong in the sound
No heart ache to these places
Fresh start to fall again
Never saw the truth, never face to face
Your green eyes turned blue
Bright gold flowers grow
Green, green as my youth
I thought I would see this day done
Now the green faded but not blue
Timid, this weakness for you
