Empty spaces
You just think you can hear it,
That I'm talking about something -
Words are so visible, so easily written,
But I keep quiet... I am silent
Silence between lines, somewhere hiding
Break, the movement of soul...
And a drop of tears, out of weakness
When something suddenly went off a page...
And names... No, do not write
And the solution is between words,
And it can only be lost
Forever in the medium of dreams ...
And I would like to, ah, how I would like to
pour myself out over the edge -
To the bottom, to the heart of infinity,
To the very stars, where I’m just ...
But let it remain, yes, let it remain
That innuendo in words,
And let it tell itself
In empty spaces, silence ...
That I'm talking about something -
Words are so visible, so easily written,
But I keep quiet... I am silent
Silence between lines, somewhere hiding
Break, the movement of soul...
And a drop of tears, out of weakness
When something suddenly went off a page...
And names... No, do not write
And the solution is between words,
And it can only be lost
Forever in the medium of dreams ...
And I would like to, ah, how I would like to
pour myself out over the edge -
To the bottom, to the heart of infinity,
To the very stars, where I’m just ...
But let it remain, yes, let it remain
That innuendo in words,
And let it tell itself
In empty spaces, silence ...

Re. Empty spaces
I adore this ... truly ... great introspection ... conversational ... not preachy ... revealing ... reminding ... strong ... but also vulnerable ... giving it an urgency ... a power all its own ... great flow ... love the mixture of punctuation ... which is saying something ... because I rarely use/like punctuation ... but in this it fits ... does not upstage the words ... the lines ... I think is truly one of your best writes ...

Re: Re. Empty spaces
Been very introspective lately which is always dangerous. Yesterday was a pretty low point for me. I do appreciate hits hard and reveals mightily; that sounds like my thoughts. ;) Thank you so much for the comment, feedback, and the BIG LIKE.

Dear, Kristina
Sometimes silence screams. And those silent moments can be read just ads clearly as words. You illustrate that well in this piece. This passage touched me most,
"When something suddenly went off a page..."
there's a beautiful song by Alison Krauss, "When You Say Nothing At All," that paints a wonderful picture of this,

It's always great to get your thoughtful feedback GW. I can certainly understand how silence screams, and our thoughts can torment. Another reason why we must write things out sometimes. Thank you for sharing the song, I had never heard that one.

Self reflective pieces always offer that bit of enlightenment. In essence, we reveal something about ourselves that identifies with readers in one way or another. Your spill here captures that, especially that fourth stanza, it's amazing.
Beautiful Kristina.
