I just had some excellent oranges that have a reddish interior I think it's called a Cara Cara. Delicious! That's what inspired the piece. I'm glad that you enjoyed the read.

I have been somewhat obsessed with citrus for the past six months. Cara Caras are sooo good. I’ve been indulgent with Sumo Mandarins while they last. Really great piece about succulent citrus treats.

Beautiful image and a wonderfully delicious poem .. there is nothing like fruit fresh off the branch ..
I eat clementines with almost every meal...sooo delicious. I get FL oranges from the farmers market... there's a zillion things to do with them, living in FL has taught me. I do love peeling them and having the scent permeate.... it's THE BEST.
but just going outside and picking them off the tree.... Ohhh yeah, there sure isn't anything better than that!! Mmmm...Yummy..... we have sour orange trees and those oranges are used specifically to make Cuban mojo pork....
