Judging minds and obvious stares
Pretending that I do not care
Just because I'm wearing black
Doesent make me bad in fact
It just means I have more to say
Beyond the standards of what's popular today
I don't give a shit about the trends
If you have a problem your not really my friend
Why does there always have to be sommething wrong
Just because we listen to different songs
Stop labeling me with emo or gothic
You wouldn't want to be catagorized so stop it
Just because you don't understand

I'm sorry your a mindless robot
That thinks happieness is store bought
Stop asking me if I'm ok
Its none of your buisness anyway
I'm not that bad if you could see
The real person that's inside of me
because pink can be just as decieving
But you can't see what the truth is reveiling
I like the fact you think I'm wierd
Because I'm the one you've always feared

You make this so hard to comment on just because you used pink and black in the same poem. I will be political about this I had gotten to a place where I truly believed everything I was called: 'not handsome,' 'not funny,' 'too intense,' desperate.' All those labels they gave me, I took them because there wasn't a trace of my true self left. Fuck labels and society. Read (freak or me) or ( beauty without cruelity) however this very true about black in Texas. That's like walking in KFC with a cheese burger.

It real just depends on what part of texas ur in. When I was in pasadena (close to houston) it wasent that bad. But when u go deep into texas where it is the country sterio type eveyone judges everything and everyone. I used to hate it and believe the labels to but now I find it amusing. Except on the shitty days. I think ur beautiful david (lol although I have no idea what u look like)

yes each part in texas seems to have their own little codes of what is right or wrong, i too live in texas have all my life
I like the colors. But the black, I'm just passionate about.
I have always had the feeling of being a strange animal too, for the average people.
But if we look at those who criticize, we realize that they are all false. Their feelings and desires are pre-built.
I'm not interested in their opinions. I do not care about their reality show or their evangelists...
I like women in black. Dark, romantic and sincere.

The reality is people tend to malign and beseige those they are uncomfortable with. How sad to see most people clamoring to join a herd and never find themselves; striving to be different and yet becoming a clone of some group.
I admire your diversity of interests in music and in life as you've shown here in this site.
Far too many even here scrambling to be noticed by many when sparking with a few is far more sustaining and empowering. You are a delight!

Diversity is a big thing for me, I like to experience anything and everything atleast once. It saddens me that people purposely choose to be closed minded about things because it doesn't follow social standards, or it might conflict with the image they have so desperately strived to achieve for themselves.
I'm proud of who I am, and I love the way I choose to express myself and nobody will ever be able to take that away from me. I have a feeling you're the same way and I admire that.
