Alcyone

Two birds cannot fly when they are alone.
If one’s on the ground, then the other’s alone.
And if one’s flying high, then the other will groan
in unkempt loneliness till feathers fade to bone.

Two birds cannot die if they soar the unknown.
For they roam when the sun shines like gemstones.
And through the day they glide higher up the zones
in beautiful waves they fly beating tombstones.

Two birds cannot love lest their hearts are agone.
But if they soar together, then they’re never alone.
And if they give up time to be near the other’s thrown,
then harmonious amor and devotion they own.
