Check My Math
Twenty-one thousand
one hundred seventy
awakenings
marveling at each sunrise
elated with each resurrection
from the dead of night
Five hundred-eight thousand
eighty hours spent
many misspent
no good weighing
the quality of each
they're past
an ever-growing sand dune
littering the floor
of a never again rotated
personal hourglass
Thirty million
four hundred eighty-four thousand
eight hundred
minutes of thought
some unconscious
why am I not a genius;
a god of omniscience?
good thing
for it would be to me
a deadly distinction
as I would starve
from want of learning
And so it goes...
one hundred seventy
awakenings
marveling at each sunrise
elated with each resurrection
from the dead of night
Five hundred-eight thousand
eighty hours spent
many misspent
no good weighing
the quality of each
they're past
an ever-growing sand dune
littering the floor
of a never again rotated
personal hourglass
Thirty million
four hundred eighty-four thousand
eight hundred
minutes of thought
some unconscious
why am I not a genius;
a god of omniscience?
good thing
for it would be to me
a deadly distinction
as I would starve
from want of learning
And so it goes...

Dear GW,
With the math skills I just read I can’t help but wonder you even wrote this “ why am I not a genius;” you ARE a freaking genius! 50% off is the only math I understand.
Your addition skills in this poem are spot on. I really enjoyed the clever way of appreciating age and the wisdom of growing older and acknowledging how fleeting time is and not to waste it. Really lovely write. H🌷

Oh sweet goddess, Honoria, i am ecstatic that you think highly of this circuitous equation revealing my day and confessing my age. I have truly lived a good life and I wanted to celebrate that reality. You are so kind to lend your voice to my celebration❣🙏🌹

When the left and right brain meet this is the outcome. There is beauty in the mathematical.

Happy birthday!!! ❤🎶❤🎵🎂
I still don't know your age because I'm far too lazy to do the math. 😆 I absolutely love the way you expressed that hourglass image. Brilliant.
This one's a keeper.
Wishing you a happy year, not just a day.

Wishing you the Happiest of Birthdays dear Gahddess 🎂🌺🏵🌺
... I was told there would be no math .. hehehe.
An honestly brilliant way to Express the incredulity of time .. something we think we have the power to control, when in fact we are all beautifully timeless. ♥️x

If my math is correct....
21170 /365= 58
Correct me if I'm wrong but happiest of them all
