6 Feet Away
Six feet in between
The sorrow of different tomorrows
In worlds of different times
With nothing shared or borrowed
Other than the pain
That sits behind to remind
A touch I will never feel
Of a beauty that’s gone blind
In the silent darkness
Of your leaving and my grieving
You’ve gone to a better place
Left me to believing
That the words I place
Upon your grave, they will stay
For you to hear
I’m only 6 feet away
The sorrow of different tomorrows
In worlds of different times
With nothing shared or borrowed
Other than the pain
That sits behind to remind
A touch I will never feel
Of a beauty that’s gone blind
In the silent darkness
Of your leaving and my grieving
You’ve gone to a better place
Left me to believing
That the words I place
Upon your grave, they will stay
For you to hear
I’m only 6 feet away
