Maybe They Mourn You Too
Went for a ride today
on the boardwalk by the bay
passed the beach shared with you
brown grasses swaying in golden sand
grey rocks teased by barely-there waves
half moon hanging in blue sky, sun still dancing on the water
Did you know the gulls call your name?

Dear PS,
True feeling of loss in this lovely poem. A lament of what once was. Your description of the action and scene are brilliant and abundant in such brevity- fantastic. Great piece. H🌷

Thank you so much. I was hoping that I was able to capture both the serenity of the scenery and the feeling of something missing, so I really appreciate your comment.

Beautifully bittersweet, you paint the scene with such honestly imbued emotion. It's touching work Marie.

The beach in late winter has a beautiful loneliness about it. Thank you for leaving your thoughts.
