For the milch cow with the horns, it's like saying the hands that rock the cradle can also betray the innocent.
[A milch cow is one reserved for its milk.]

ah that makes sense, i was Beijing the cow through an Irish symbolism lens and so i should have got that but somehow i didn’t
imo it’s the example that makes the poem stand out, the rest seems built around it x
