Dearest Yvonne
I’m sorry we didn’t call or stopped by sooner
Whenever we were in town we thought of you
Now I feel bad that we didn’t have the time
But this plague took you away too soon
You took care of my boys, since they were babies
You showed genuine love like only a mother can
They remember you and your family fondly
Now as they’ve grown into young men
Perhaps it was the way you always had a smile
And how you helped us for so many years
You were a big part of our family’s lives
Now, all we can do is shed tears
You were always so courageous and kind
With strong faith and unwavering devotion
Looking back, you were really God sent
To help our families in all our commotion
Dearest Yvonne, I’m sorry for all you suffered
I can’t imagine the pain you went through
I can only think that you’re in heaven now
Smiling at us like you always used to
Anthony, kids, I’m sorry for your loss,
I don’t have the words, I’ll just quietly cry
May her memory bring you some comfort
And her smile always be a bright sky
Dearest Yvonne, thank you
