Things I’ll Miss when the Pandemic Ends

I’ll miss the beautiful quiet
Hearing birds in the morning and at dusk  
 
I’ll miss the time I didn’t waste
Painting florals and obscure abstractions
 
I’ll miss writing about the pandemic
So many little stories of loose connections
 
I’ll miss empty spaces ordinarily crowded  
Forever a lone wolf who still needs people  
 
I’ll miss all our dialogue  
There won’t be that time again unbridled  
 
There’s many things I won’t miss
