It's not just a man

it's a woman—
but more than that
a woman of color

It's transgender, gay
lesbian, or bisexual;
it's Asian, Natives:
American, Alaskan, Hawaiian
and Pacific Islander;
it's Indian, Latino
Hispanic, Black
and more women
than any other cabinet
the history of America had

It's not just a man
we celebrate today
nor put our faith in—

it's balance, equality
one nation, indivisible
with liberty and justice
regardless of what god
you serve
, for all—ALL

because we're tired
of the divisiveness
white supremacy sows

The time has come
for unity and love—
for the melting pot
of America to become
what it should
