SHADOWS
wipes of blue
on shards of broken dreams
glitters of nothing but wishes
gold on glass surface
a smear of whispers
spoken unheard
my journey
among the poultices
that promised healing
and peace
looking forward
hand shading eyes
trying to see
beyond the shades
of grey
given freely by tears
unwelcomed in inappropriate places
a sob when a child laugh
a shriek of tearful laughter as a kitten plop into a puddle
a monster within
a grieving waif
within an adult
woman
is there a way
is there a sign
Is there a road
I could follow
to find me in another highway
and bring me back home
But home, where is home...
on shards of broken dreams
glitters of nothing but wishes
gold on glass surface
a smear of whispers
spoken unheard
my journey
among the poultices
that promised healing
and peace
looking forward
hand shading eyes
trying to see
beyond the shades
of grey
given freely by tears
unwelcomed in inappropriate places
a sob when a child laugh
a shriek of tearful laughter as a kitten plop into a puddle
a monster within
a grieving waif
within an adult
woman
is there a way
is there a sign
Is there a road
I could follow
to find me in another highway
and bring me back home
But home, where is home...
