Thinking back through the eyes of a child        
I become reminiscent and overwhelmed  
at the same time.
Thunder claps & erupts overhead,  
I move in closer to get a better view  
while lighting a candle,  
I love the rain ....      
       
Humbled, I pour myself a glass of brandy        
while looking out into the sky    
each rumble shocks my pulse into overdrive  
my soul dances and comes alive,  
 
my heart fills with sadness  
as the memories come flooding in  
and I take time to cry...
