Oda a la Empanada

 
Deep fried sweet plantain  
   with a delicious custard in the middle
Yes please
     It’s the pastry I always crave for and savor
It’s mixed with white sugar
     and some cinnamon, but just a little
Give it a squeeze
      and your palette will be hooked on the flavor
 
A nice cup of coffee and some empanadas
     For me it’s a perfect afternoon delight
The creamy sweetness on my tongue
     Makes my senses whirl and take flight
