Firstly, the image is so befitting the song; and the poem follows suit with both. It's a very haunting, melancholic offering, Jackie.

Because you request and love honest critique, I can offer the following:

Stuck in the shadows /
of a place [ that ] go[ing] in circles      
memories lay broken on the floor/
[ i ]n front of me[  — ]
how did I end up here      
   
my soul cries out into [ the ] cold silence    
there is no one here to listen      
   
the beauty has long since gone      
[ F ]rankenstein[ ' ]s monster I’ve become—      
sadness is my fragrance  
   

These are only minor suggestions in regards to line breaks,  extraneous words, and a few grammatical corrections. If heeded, the poem would read the following:

Stuck in the shadows
of a place going in circles      
memories lay broken on the floor
in front of me—
how did I end up here      
   
my soul cries out into cold silence    
there is no one here to listen      
   
the beauty has long since gone      
Frankenstein's monster I’ve become—      
sadness is my fragrance

Again, haunting offering. Really enjoyed the complete delivery.

And so it shall be written and I certainly will credit you for the editing because I definitely need instruction in structure.. I definitely love the critiques

Hello Harry :) always a pleasure to see you good man .. yes I was writing an example of the comp I’m hosting . I actually plan to write two more with the other two songs I selected for other people to also get creative with. I find that music and poetry are twins, like literally they were born together :)

I totally agree, Jackie...I always listen to either Bach or Leonard Cohen when I write...and often The "B" man's Moonlight Sonata...I just love it so much.
