Today is the day I
Let the dazzling sun peer through my window
And embrace all life’s promises.
Today is the day I…
Look at my reflection
With a smile.
The day I
Learn how to take steps forward
To loving myself.
…
And I know it’s not going to be an easy journey.
Anxiety waits around every corner.
But I realize that taking that first step
Is opening the door to a world where:
Paper airplanes fly in the sky
And the moon no longer reminds me of goodbyes
Nor the struggles of yesterday
That I used to blame on myself.
And so, today is the day I learn
That every day’s “today” is a reminder to forgive
And a chance to look forward to
Tomorrow.

Speaks to me like a 'note to self'. Really enjoyed this triumphant march forward. I think many of us might 'take note' here. If not, we really should!
