They're saying the second wave will hit here next month, Paul. They also predict the same shortages. . .so grocery stores are stockpiling.
Yep -- I think what we've seen before (for centuries) is the powerful few finding ever-new ways to make life difficult for the masses. I'm guessing that China is now the model for Europe.

agreed ... and it's interesting how a little poem can trigger so much. Such can be the unexpected power of poetry. I still find re-reading some of the world-war-1 poems quite overwhelming.
