Acupuncture
my heart’s been dropped
one too many times between
floorboards where pearls
were cultivated in soil and
barbs vines
moments which taught me to
look away, relentlessly
mindfully origami’ed.
quietly lost, I wonder off
path into unordain
territory
I think of father, how stars
would fall out of the sky as he
would orbit empty bottles
with no real courage only
liquid psychosis bittering his
inner divinity
he kept vocals and affection
hidden as though they were
rejected organs
(I) a daughter didn't believe
in prayer: she was never
befitting, existing only
through contrast to the rest of
his seedlings
as mother chokes on rigor
mortis bones and gasps
ghostly fumes of what use to
be
I thought you'd all vanquished
but today I see you and you
appear almost human
