Perpetual Parting
God I miss you
Oh to see you again
Or breathe in your scent
Death be damned!
Bid me adieu, please
Yes, leave me to grieve
Ever more
Oh to see you again
Or breathe in your scent
Death be damned!
Bid me adieu, please
Yes, leave me to grieve
Ever more

Dear GW,
Lovely write to missing a loved one and the beauty of love ever after. And very cool that you were able to create the flow and the word Goodbye as the first letter of each line. I’m sure that’s called something in port speak. Great write. H🌷

Much thanks, Dear Honoria🌹🌹 This style is known as an acrostic and I am pleased that you like what I've written. Goodbye's are tough for me.

I suck at goodbyes too....
This is nicely crafted and tugs at those heart strings.

My dear Gahddess, I appreciate your pain in this write. I am so sorry for what you feel. I know the feeling well. The depth of your emotion is beautifully transposed in this write. Thank you for sharing. Much love. Do you know Elizabeth Kubler Ross?

Thank you so much, Mel❣❣🙏 We have always been quite kindred spirits in our emotions. I am pleased that you read this piece and that it touched you deeply.
What a coincidence, I planned today to listen to an interview with David Kessler, Elizabeth Kubler Ross', writing partner on the Brené Brown podcast,

I found my Higher Power, the Dancer, in a 2d story room in a flop house, Vancouver BC in Feb 1979. I asked for a sign. A few hours later I was walking along and found a blue net shopping bag with $499 inside.
Ahhh. My kind of HP. The Goddess. We’ve been together ever since.
