Diamonds
I can never forget
All the tears that were wept
Since that moment we couldn't define
How much that we meant
To each other and yet,
We continued dividing our lives.
We were bound for much greater
Things but we let our
Egos create such a mess,
Leaving behind
The scene of a crime,
Where we cracked to the pressure and stress.
But given some time
To strengthen and find,
We were diamonds that shined in the wreck,
And look at us now,
Far better than how,
We could ever imagined have been.
All it took was a chip,
A bit of hardship,
And the courage to realize
We're fine,
Still living and able,
We're mentally stable,
And sharing in our peace of mind.
All the tears that were wept
Since that moment we couldn't define
How much that we meant
To each other and yet,
We continued dividing our lives.
We were bound for much greater
Things but we let our
Egos create such a mess,
Leaving behind
The scene of a crime,
Where we cracked to the pressure and stress.
But given some time
To strengthen and find,
We were diamonds that shined in the wreck,
And look at us now,
Far better than how,
We could ever imagined have been.
All it took was a chip,
A bit of hardship,
And the courage to realize
We're fine,
Still living and able,
We're mentally stable,
And sharing in our peace of mind.
