know the oceans somber motion
In every wave that hits the shore
The endless connection
Between land and sea
The crashing storms
That give it menace
The still calmness
It’s prayer for peace
The ebb and flow
With its silent bond to the moon
Like the pull of hearts
The gravity of souls in love
