How much we seek our lost past...
Mum's side was never known past grandfather...I've recently found things people that Gma didn't know of....my dad's side is in 90 percentile Mum's...was nil so it's exciting.
I hope this lovely write has You closer ...such melancholic beauty!!!

Thanks for reading and commenting Soul. Interesting how ancestry goes. I too can trace my father's line a little bit my mom's quite difficult. I think a village idiot was a great grand uncle somewhere.

Everyone longs for the past . I never got to my grandpa on my mother side of the family, because he died before I was born. And my grandma on mom side died 12-31-2018 and my grandma on my father died on 1-1-2019 in mexico. We really never talk my father side of that much. Keep on writing. Great poem.
