Pirate Life
I guess you never saw my SOS
Cause you always sailed on by
I wonder if you ever think of me
As you disappear into a sunset sky
A pirate’s flag you wear so well
Always lookin’ for a new heart to steal
A treasure chest of broken hearts
I guess it’s not the gold, rather it’s the thrill
Baby I’m stranded here
On your island of misery
I’m not asking you to sail the seven seas
Just do what you can and rescue me
So much time has gone by
I walk up and down on this shore
When I find my pearl in a shell
I won’t have to look back anymore
I know my ship will come in
A new love that will never say goodbye
A bowsprit angel with an anchor for me
Nothing but white sails against a deep blue sky
Cause you always sailed on by
I wonder if you ever think of me
As you disappear into a sunset sky
A pirate’s flag you wear so well
Always lookin’ for a new heart to steal
A treasure chest of broken hearts
I guess it’s not the gold, rather it’s the thrill
Baby I’m stranded here
On your island of misery
I’m not asking you to sail the seven seas
Just do what you can and rescue me
So much time has gone by
I walk up and down on this shore
When I find my pearl in a shell
I won’t have to look back anymore
I know my ship will come in
A new love that will never say goodbye
A bowsprit angel with an anchor for me
Nothing but white sails against a deep blue sky
