So true! Guess it’s like George Orwell’s “ Animal Farm “‘ , some pigs are more equal than others. 😢

One that will piss people off because no one wants to admit it. . .particularly the ones who feel enlightened and superior than the rest of us sheep.
Glad it evoked a nursery rhyme! Old MacDonald indeed; it's definitely a barnyard!
Thanks!

Simple and precise dear Ahavati. The message is deep and strong. We are all alike despite our differences. 🌹❤

You are right, Ahavati... and nice viz! Like you said, even the black sheep have a place where they fit in. There are always going to be people who we prefer and gravitate towards, and even a purported 'lone wolf' as myself needs a friend. I also don't believe anyone is above the outward influence of others... we are all influenced by the people around us in some form or fashion, so in that sense, yes we are all sheep.
With that said, I feel we are all united in our humanity, no matter our perceived differences, and we all have similar basic needs. From wanting to feel loved and accepted, to our struggle for happiness, balance, and success in this world. I think if someone says they don't care about any of those things they are either prideful or in denial... speaking of sheep, sounds like someone's got your goat.
Best wishes, and hope you are well,

Re: Re. Sheeple
Not annoyed, more amused from a matter-of-fact observational standpoint. We are ALL sheep; even those who claim to be lone wolves. You may be a loner ( I am myself ); however, you're still a sheep from a flock because there are plenty of loners just like you, be it in thought, belief, way of life, etc.
It's amusing to watch those who disagree with your personal philosophy label you a sheep from their own pasture because you don't agree with them.
We're all sheep, whether we want to admit it or not.
Thanks for your comment.

Those who wield the word the most tend to be the worst when it comes to generalization and stereotyping, which is a simple stone's throw from racism - all quite the opposite of being enlightened.
It's one thing to want to feel special - entirely another to put others down in order to be perceived as such.
Succinct.

Exactly. We are ALL sheep; particularly those who claim to be lone wolves in attempts to set themselves apart.
We are all sheep, just from different flocks.
Thank you!

Very true, we all prescribe to some kind of 'religion' belief or ideas.
One is not better than the other, it just means which side of the fence one stands and most often where we are in our lives in that moment in time, and at times it may be the only alternative.
But admitting and allowing the mind to entertain other ideas/arguments is what makes one wise(r) than the rest.

It has always been a bugbear of mine and a big red-flag of those who use that term. it comes across as so obnoxious and arrogant without any sense of humility or self-awareness. winds me up big time ...and so glad you made a very subtle yet powerful point about it. thanks A.x

You always nail it A. Bravo! Socrates referred to the masses as sheep...Nietzsche called them the herd...Martin Heidegger's term "the they" was meant to refer to ordinary people who go about their everyday lives with no philosophical awareness of their existence...and Marcuse just gave up and said that the proletariat had simply been consumed by modern capitalism lol.

Dear A,
“Sheeple” Love it. Yep, stay with the flock and follow the herd. Safest way of staying under the radar. Once they know who you are it’s more work and more responsibility. 😏
Very introspective write within its brevity. An open mind to match an open heart makes way for self growth and realization. I very much admire that. I’m still working out those details. Excellent write. H🌷

Thank you, Honoria. Yep; when in Rome and all that! We are all the same, we just graze in different fields. If an x ray was taken there would be no different except the length of our bones.
