Why I'm Still in Love with Fire
Sometimes an ember never dies
And for some a flame doesn’t fade away
Those who remember promises have ties
That makes the fire last to the end of days
It was almost twenty years later
When I saw the fire live alive arrive near me
And it was just as glorious as the first time
As it soared into the recesses of my memory
Maybe it’s just me lost in the melancholy
In the echoes of time of the notes I played
But the excellent arrangement leaves me dazed
Because the Regiment had it superbly portrayed
The music lives in me, it moves within me
When it takes wing with every single note
I embrace it with a sensation and elation
That reminds me of every verse I wrote
And that’s why I’m still in love with fire
