Daniel 9's "70th Week" of Years is PAST TENSE - Its ALREADY Happened !!
Daniel the prophet ponders the destruction of Jerusalem, especially the Temple, that had occurred early in Daniel's lifetime(Daniel 9.2-3,11-13).
Then he receives a vision about the same thing happening all over again!!
But this time its in response to the "cutting off" of " the Messiah"(Daniel 9.26).
Clearly there's a cause and effect relationship between the Jewish involvement in the execution of Christ,
and the subsequent war in which the Roman army destroys Jerusalem and especially the Temple.
My point here is that, logically, the destruction of the city and temple described
in the "70th week" of Daniel 9.24-27 HAS TO refer to the Roman-Jewish War of AD 66 - 73.
Why? Because Christ Himself states that "all things will be fulfilled by the end of this generation"(Luke 21.32).
Meaning that a "generation" would start from the day of Christ's crucifixion -
which occurred later that same week (as the Olivett Discourse given in Luke 21).
Logically, God's "vengeance" (Luke 21.22) for the Jews' part in the killing of the Messiah (the "Anointed One," Daniel 9.26)
would/should come upon the Jews SOON rather than thousands of years later.
So when false teachers ("blind guides") try to say the destruction of the temple and city
in Dan.9.26-27 hasn't yet come, they are STUPID.
When they claim the Antichrist will be the one who destroys Jerusalem and its temple,
they deserve to be shunned and ridiculed !!
Long story short, the "70th week" of years in Daniel 9.27 is PAST TENSE !!
It was fulfilled close to 2,000 years ago !!
For the Roman-Jewish War of AD 66 to 73 = a seven years period - a "week" of years !!
Where the "blind guides" go wrong is they think that war ran from 66 to 70.
They forget that MASADA, the Jewish stronghold out in the desert, held out til mid 73.
The seige of Masada is properly the last battle of that war.
The prestigious Encyclopedia Judaica gives 66-70/73 as the length of that war.
This shows that AD 73 is recognized as a legitimate end point for that war.
And mid 66 to mid 73 DOES add up to 7 years,
Which is what we need.
For we read that "war will continue to the end" of the week of years(Daniel 9.26-27 N.I.V.).

PS: i went to an EndTime conference in September 2019 in which Amir Tsarfati talked about the "7 years TRIB " as though the TRIB will last that long (based on Daniel 9.27). Afterward, I extended my hand to him with copy of my report on the falseness of the "7 years TRIB. But he wouldn't take it. He wouldn't even look me eye to eye. Evidently i am not the only person EXPOSING this FALSE DOCTRINE. Hallelujah for that much !! Look up my poems about the TRIB being just "5 months" long (Revelation 9.5,10) !!
