I'm not sure if this is an invitation, but if it is here is an alternative (not particularly improved) format:
This verse is dying so quickly
the medical stats say it's sickly
and if it runs flat
a Limerick's bat
will make it a little more prickly.

The comp rules were to be 3 lines, 10 syllables, all rhymes, it was rather a short albeit challenging to adhere to the rules.
But I'm looking to do more limericks for NAPO2020.
