I’ve never been
Where neurones fire
Cells fight
For the control of me
Stirring
In the dark
Cold thoughts
Struggling
To gain a foot hold
Pull the plug
Disconnect me
Can’t swim
In this sea of life
Any longer
A finite awakening
Truth of despair
Knocks on the senses
Numbing perception
Death clings like a child
Is there anything else
More than this
Crumbling mind
Release me
From the contract
