Branches of frazzled afros
grasping in pleading
soot-thinned narrowness
- vehicles barely splutter acknowledgement.
They cannot touch me
on the buses' upper level,
I wish they didn't have to try.

Some of those trees will remain long after I and many others are dust: better than the trees become dust and we too shortly after!

I suppose so; but in this case the bus is just a bus. It is the world felt within that has many shades, not so much the material things!
