Sweet nightmre
She came to me as a transparent beam
Her hair a blaze, blinds the sturdiest of eye
Her skin was fluid with synchronized tides
Though no moon could exist here
I uttered a word, more of a gasp
The splinters in my throat prevent me
I ventured a hand shakily forward
The unknown strikes thunderous fear
I forget to breathe in anticipation
My last wind flurries, escapes my lips
The panic kicked, left me unconscious
I awoke lost and hungry for air,
eyes scrambled for slight recognition
With sigh of relief I welcomed what came
A sense of safety, of home
What had I seen? A ghost? Bad dream?
Left with questions of strange sentiment
Through the trials of day, never strayed from my thoughts
I missed what had graced me with presence
Her hair a blaze, blinds the sturdiest of eye
Her skin was fluid with synchronized tides
Though no moon could exist here
I uttered a word, more of a gasp
The splinters in my throat prevent me
I ventured a hand shakily forward
The unknown strikes thunderous fear
I forget to breathe in anticipation
My last wind flurries, escapes my lips
The panic kicked, left me unconscious
I awoke lost and hungry for air,
eyes scrambled for slight recognition
With sigh of relief I welcomed what came
A sense of safety, of home
What had I seen? A ghost? Bad dream?
Left with questions of strange sentiment
Through the trials of day, never strayed from my thoughts
I missed what had graced me with presence
