Die Young

Written to Die Young - Lucid Soundz

I don't wanna die young (x7)
But I'm gonna die young

Cul-de-sac, I grew up at, evolved to crack, houses where hope is lacked
I noticed that, the olders packed, their shoulder bags, and now they've sold their flat
Stoners gas, the road with sacks, of dope it's sad, snow lands, yeah the blow is back
Photograph, of frozen lad, expose the fact: so fractured, broken land

This is where I used to trade match attacks
Where we held, Pokemon, battles at
Footie at the garage with Matt and that
Now it's where you might get tackled at

I miss the days we'd slip and skate in pissing rain, our kicks would break from kicking strain
And if the drains would overflow we won't go home we'd celebrate hip-hip-hooray
Kids these days are kept inside until it's time to go to school that isn't life
Drunks and druggies picking fights and sticking knives into guys on different nights

Wish I could rewind to a simpler time
Wish I could revive all those innocent lives
Wish I could provide some intelligent guidance
Offer a light, they could follow at night

But I'm just a guy, put my neck on the line,
For people that, wouldn't do the same for me?
Self preservation is what keeps us alive
So surely we all want a safe place to be

Guess I'm just and outlier, bitching and crying
Whining 'bout seeing what I hate to see
Wouldn't be unlikely seeing a fire
I'd be the only one to care before it came to me

I don't wanna die young (x7)
But I'm gonna die young
