Winter (acrostic)
Winter's chill washes over the land;
Icy winds blow as flurries of snow
Nip at your nose—
Toasting marshmallows by the fire,
Embraced by its warm glow,
Returning feeling to frozen toes
Icy winds blow as flurries of snow
Nip at your nose—
Toasting marshmallows by the fire,
Embraced by its warm glow,
Returning feeling to frozen toes

Same here in the southern US... Mosquitos and red wasps are coming out, butterflies are hatching out thinking spring has arrived. It's definitely a bit unseasonably warm here this year. We get a lot of flip-flop between warm and cold weather here... It's pretty much breeding ground for tornados.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by, sky. It's good to see you! :)

Thanks for your comment, sunset :)
It's about 63°F here today where I'm at... It should be about 20-30 degrees warmer colder in mid-January here. Heh, I write about snow, but in reality, I don't see much of that where I live :P

On the other side of the world, way down in Africa (where I am at) we are enjoying full blasts of the sun. Winter is not due for the next 3 months.
Lovely poem♥

Well we never experience snow on this side, so a little snow might just whiten our day☺

Great way to encapsulate the season with it's polarities of chill weather and the warmth we find. My Buddhist teacher loves drum circles and bonfires. He says our various disorders are essential disconnects, that we've lost our sense of tribe. Building a fire goes deep into ancestral memory, staring into the dance of flames is mesmerizing. Namaste.

It certainly is, although we don't actually get blankets of snow here usually, just a lot of rain lol
Wishful thinking, maybe? Heh
Thank you for stopping by to comment and RL... That really means a lot!

Playful Indeed!!!
How Wonderful this Write is :)
Bright as the snow it brings
What makes the reading of Writes (for me) is the personality or rather..the guts of a person is at times laid out on display...one aspect of who they are.
The more Writes, the more rounded out "know" of that person becomes clear.
Beautiful Write NB !!!
