Words
We stood atop the mountain,.
Your hair flowing with nature’s breath,.
Ebbing and flowing with Gaia’s rotation,.
That is only felt with gravity and unspoiled air,.
I never knew such love,.
Swallowed by such terror and strife,.
Happiness was taken with a liquid knife,.
When I saw your face take on sadness,.
I hastened my decent into more madness,.
I had no control over myself,.
Yet I thought I could control the world,.
As if I could control the very nature of the beast that smiled when death was imminent,.
When we looked down we saw the ground far below,.
When we made the descent we could see the sky far above,.
I can never apologize enough,.
I will always live with the regret of my decisions,.
Small and deliberate incisions,.
Left on my soul and conscious,.
Left you with stains so malicious,.
I am cradled in the arms of karma,.
I wish you hope and peace,.
Lay your weary head down and get some sleep,.
I hope you awaken to find your Dalai Lama,…
