SENRYU - UNTAPPED MAGIC

Fascination lost
tedious, flavorless life
brass rings left ungrabbed

Author's Note
Time was that carousels/merry-go-rounds had brass ring dispensers. The child/child-at-heart would stretch, grasp the ring, and toss it into a clown's mouth; at least a clowns mouth at Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I now think it's poignant that one had to stretch to grab the prized ring Happiness and fulfillment in life requires desire and effort.
