Thanks, Kitts! Yeah, science likes to 'define' things intellectually. We know it boils down to simple matters of the heart, and basic human needs - love being the foremost.

I'm not usually at such a loss for words lately. But the threat is real. This isn't science fiction.
Bless you for using this opportunity to bring awareness to a condition we can all help to alleviate with simple acts of kindness.

You got me using google and rereading your poem. I learned some new grammar and the experience was actually pretty deep.
Way to give an ever present struggle a fresh face and new visibility! Very inspiring and important stuff.

Yeah, sorry about that! But science is science and the contrast wouldn't have been made without complicated scientific terms. Not that I don't love science, I do! But, sometimes it's simply humanity that makes the difference - particularly in the case of homeless people.

We definitely know the difference in solitude and loneliness, don't we, my friend? Unfortunately, many do not, and only suffer the destitution of isolation that so often accompanies hopelessness. This is why we should teach meditation in primary school. . .
Thank you, my friend! May your holidays we merry and bright! ❤

So very true Vati...the hardest hit by loneliness are never we introverts, it is the the extroverts who are shy...life for them can be a real struggle indeed...and yes, meditation at an early age for sure. Have a great Christmas my friend. XO

It's terrifying and yet so true. I think the image of something that is current will carry well into the future because we are not doing enough.
Good luck in the comp.

Re. Otherness
I almost abandoned, due to the long words. But persisting and reaching the end, I was glad that I did persist.
Loneliness - it comes in various shades.
Spiritual loneliness, intellectual loneliness, bodily loneliness.

Yeah, science can be pretty thick in areas, but I'm glad you kept going nonetheless, SeaCat. Thank you for your perspective. You are so correct; loneliness leaves a deficit within ourselves if we don't know how to counter it. ❤

Yeah, sorry about that, poet! It's strange how science labels such basic things such as human need. Thank you for your support. ❤

'Otherness' seems more fatal and frequent in the cities than in the countryside - one child enters the "housing insecurity" every 8 minutes in the U.K. Dystopia is already well entrenched. The juxtapostioning of 'science' versus simple common-sense analysis was really well played out in these few powerful words.

It is here too, Josh. Unfortunately, it's not part of the future but present in dire numbers. It's only going to get worse, I am afraid. Thank you for your perspective and support, my friend. ❤

Its amazing, the things they try to scientifically analyze and measure, a pain scale is one thing, now loneliness. I had to look up that term you mentioned, allostatic load, and it sounds like the remedy could be, 'find your passion', but it could become tougher if everyone is feeling otherness and just wanting to conform rather than be some unique individual, it takes alot of strength to overcome that..

Thank you, PR. I think sometimes our bodies overload from stress and emotional pressures just as a machine engine can be pushed too far before it blows. Discovering one's passion is definitely the purest fuel known to humankind - but, you are right in that it takes strength to stay the course.
