YOPJ - It BETTER Make Money
He was holding the rattle, so I let him talk; it's the baby in each of us. We have to take turns. It was his turn this time and I knew it.
"Your writing better make money, so it doesn't waste our life." Codependency speaks. We apparently share all things including what is having fun, etc. the lines do get blurred for us both.
He's all about us day and night.... totally breaks his back for us, in a manner of speaking; but he has this one gear like me. In this gear his goals are the life of the party; imagine what happens when we both act like that. He's got bigger balls so he says what he's doing, shame or no.
I'm the yellow belly who takes her time subverting all with nary a word until it's all too late; like with my books. He can't even bear to look at the mess I'm making. Poor man. Truth is, I would love to use him; all his amazing mojo of awesomeness on my authorship adventure. he's the mule carrying my musical daughters on his back. I won't interfere.
Truly, of the two, we both know he's the savvy one. His ideas WILL pay.
I can't be patient enough. Life feels too short.

Author's Note
Every author could use a heroic team of beta readers. It's very low pressure and easy to offer big gold to writers like me. Without spending your own dime. Just read an unpublished but edited book, until bored or finished with a book and answer a few questions if you have time and interest.
