Trusting

If Came
Holding out this heart
Would you laugh?

It’s a bit tattered
More patchwork
From being on my sleeve

Not much
But it still beats
For someone… you

Out here on the edge
I still feel
Still need…

Your essence
Has enticed me
Back from the cold

Now I am
Reaching out again
Running on hope

That what I offer
Isn’t as laughable
As it actually seems

Yet I open the door
In the trust
That you won’t unstitch me
