Polar - - - Dedicated to Missy

There was once a polar bear
With a thick coat of furry white hair

He lived in an igloo
Made out of ice
Shadings of blue
All very nice

Most days he'd fish
Dancing on ice
in hunting seals wish
Stomping was his device

Bullish yet playful young at heart
Sneaky and cunning
And so very smart
Real fast at running

Receding pack ice
Made him feel sad
Rejecting any advice
To make him feel glad

Sitting in his igloo day after day
Not fishing or hunting
To others dismay
Tearfully grunting

He suddenly heard a knock at the door
Certainly unusual for this time of night
Concerned by the knocking he let out a roar
But the knocking continued that failed to excite

He opened the door and roared loudly "Whaaaaaaat!"

A macaroni penguin Just smiled
She looked like a twat
She sang him a song he was beguiled

He listened contently licking his fur
This situation could have ended in disaster
But he couldn't kill or eat her
He didn't like pasta

They chatted for hours, all through the night
Much laughter and joking
His sadness left him, it just took flight
His head she was stroking

Best of friends, friends for life
Sharing and caring
Dealing with strive
She taught him to live without disparing

This Bi-Polar Bear she understands
with her as his friend he's safe in her hands

But he still won't eat his five a day vegetables
