Mother driftwood sighs—
shaped by Nature’s fickle storm,
yet her insistence
the old Sage whispers to me
as I come to pay respects
〰️🐚〰️
the honor embraced,
I feel the tree within her
alive, evoking—
the gulls soar in with each rush
as she hears my ocean breath

What an amazing sculpture, it looks like she is listening to the ocean within the tree, your poem brings the two worlds together, sea and earth as sisters..

I Love Tanka...I never mess with forms much anymore...I should-this is Greatness Jade-The emotive is forefront...I think thats key for this comp.

Dear soul man... it’s you who planted the seed in my brain with your personal entry... How it came to be, for I will have been an active haijin for 12 years as of January 2020. Yet the form of this piece did not reveal itself until It was written halfway.
